Domestic airline Starbow has resumed flights to Ebola-hit countries - Liberia and Sierra Leone.

CEO of the CIMG domestic airline of the year James Eric Antwi used the opportunity of the official opening of the airline’s refurbished Osu sales point to inform the media that Starbow has acquired its brand new 2015 next generation 78-seater Q 400 Bombardier aircraft.

He said, as a result, “Starbow is poised to increase its domestic frequencies and also commence its regional routes starting with Monrovia and Freetown” with five other capitals in the pipeline.

Mr Antwi reiterated that Starbow is committed to offering first class service to all its passengers and “this starts from the creating of a congenial ambience at these sales points, hence the importance of this project.”

He also promised that the new model will be replicated in all regions to offer more convenience to whoever wants to access any of Starbow‘s products.

The Q400 has many features which include an excellent takeoff thrust power which gives her a climb rate and speed which compete strongly with any similar size jet, a 78-seating capacity with optimum pitch between seats giving excellent leg room comfort for passengers.

Furthermore, the seats are of soft leather and are comfortable. The aircraft also has a bright fresh interior with bright warm lighting which gives the impression that the cabin is a lot larger than it actually is. There is also a large wardrobe up front which is ideal for hanging up suits, coats and packages.

According to Mr Antwi, the acquisition of the new aircraft will assist greatly in the rescheduling of Starbow’s domestic operations, especially the Tamale route which was suspended in October 2014.

“We will commence our Tamale operations with a minimum of 2-times daily flights and more importantly the resumption of Starbow’s regional operations will be boosted,” he added.
