Ghana could miss their chances of participating in the 2015 All
African Games should the country fail to pay a debt amounting $34,000
owed the African governing sports body- the Supreme Council for Sports.
According to the Director of the National Sports Authority Mr. Joe
Kpenge Ghana could only participate in the tournament on grounds that
the abbove debt is duly settled.
“At the moment we stand a risk of missing out of the All African
games, we owe the African body some amount of money, I am not certain if
there is a deadline when we have to pay”. He said on the Joy link show.
Reports say 21 separate sports have been announced for the 2015
African Games, and two additional disability sports (Athletics and
Swimming)
Ghana initially submitted a bid to host the event but failed in their attempt to win the rights to host the event.
The tournament commences later in September in Congo Brazzaville,
