Scan results on Asamoah Gyan’s hip injury to be released today
The Black Stars medical team will release the MRI scan results of Asamoah Gyan on Tuesday, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.
The Al Ain striker was flown to Mongomo on Monday evening to undergo the scan because there is no hospital in Malabo with an MRI equipment.
Gyan needs the scan to determine the extent of the damage to his hip after Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara crashed into the 29-year-old during the AFCON 2015 quarter final clash on Sunday.
The scan results will help Avram Grant decide whether Gyan can feature against Equatorial Guinea in Thursday’s crucial semi final.
