Commonwealth lightweight champion
Richard Commey (19-0, 17KOs) will make another appearance in Denmark and takes
on Georgian Mikheil Avakyian (a glorified 27-18-4) on Sauerland Promotion´s
Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn, this coming Saturday February 7.
Commey won a disputed decision over French super featherweight titleholder
Samir Ziani this past November in Albertslund and most at ringside felt he was
lucky to get the win. In Avakyian he faces an experienced opponent but should
not walk into the types of problems Ziani had in him.
