Commey stops Avakyan in round 4
Ghana lightweight boxer Richard Oblitey "Azonto" Commey (20-0, 18 KOs) has improves his boxing records to
20-0 with a fourth-round technical knockout victory over Mikheil Avakyan
(27-19-4, 12 KOs)over the weekend at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
Commey , dominated the early rounds and scoring well
with heavy shots.
Avakyan was deducted a point in the fourth round for
excessive holding. Moments later referee Freddy Rafn called a halt to
the action, sparing the Georgian any further punishment.
‘’I’m happy with my performance,’’ said the current Commonwealth
Champion. ‘’He was an awkward opponent. He just wanted to hold and wrestle
